The Best Relaxation

I came up with these little things when I was making Christmas presents for some co-workers.  I made them in little squares though, and they were a hit.  I decided to make a contoured neck wrap for adults and accidentally made one too small when I was making them and Jared found it and LOVED it.  So, there came my child line of neck wraps.  He loves it so much.  The lavender is supposed to help calm him down, and it can even be heated or cooled if needed.  It’s perfect for carseats on long drives for better neck support.

Basically, you can put it in the microwave for a about a minute and a half and it’s fantastic!!  It’s scented with Lavender, but you can definitely smell it without heating it.

Brothers

I have a soft spot in my heart for brothers.  And when my friend from high school contacted me about making a set of matching shirts for her sons and new baby I didn’t hesitate!  It was definitely a project but they are just adorable and I can’t wait to see them all in them.  Fabric is an airplane theme since Daddy is a pilot.

I LOVE MOM

Valentine’s is just around the corner, which also means my birthday is close!!  Will I get to go to lunch with my man with no kids?  Let’s all hope!  Anyway, that’s a whole other story.  But I designed my boys Valentine’s shirts and my husband helped me wrangle them for a photo shoot yesterday.  After some editing and cropping, I think it turned out well!

The shirts are being sold for $25 plus $3.00 domestic shipping and $5 shipping to Canada.  They are super fun to make and I think they turned out great.  And they are something that can be worn all year long.  Because why should your kids only show their love to MOM on Valentine’s day?

Big Bro / Lil Bro

My newest OBSESSION!!  If you knew me when I was pregnant with Jake, and how I drove my mother crazy trying to find Big Brother / Little Brother matching shirts for my children that I just loved and that MATCHED (I’m telling you that was hard) you would know that it was not an easy feat and that I was not nice about it to anyone.  I just wanted a cute picture of my kids in something that matched and that labeled who they were.  To this day, I can’t seem to find Big Brother / Little Brother items in the stores that are the same patterns.  Not sure why Carters can’t make them match!!!  Anyway, this is what I ended up with when Jake was born.  I guess one of the biggest problems was that I needed like an 18 month / 24 month size for Big Brother.  I guess normal people don’t make a 15 month old a Big Brother so manufacturers don’t make that size.  DOH!

So now that I have gotten better at my sewing techniques, I have created one of my newest collections for Right Up Your Ali.  Big Brother / Little Brother MATCHING shirts!!

And I have a slight addiction to cute little dinosaurs.  And have always loved lime green (prom 1998…pale lime green dress) so when I found this fabric (AND ON SALE FOR 60% off….SCORE) I bought a yard of it and came right home and started my letter templates.  I LOVE how the shirts turned out.  LOVE.  They care currently on display at my bank since I am the featured business of the week, but when that’s over, my boys will be modeling these.

What inspired me to make these was a present I made for an adorable little 2 year old.

I figured, if this one turned out good, then more letters would too.  So I am now taking orders for these.  I can do names for toddlers as long as they are short names :)  Don’t be asking for names like CHRISTOPHER or anything to fit on a 2T :)

Jake and Jared will be getting these too, just because, well, that’s what happens when Mama sews.

Name shirts are $22 plus $3.00 domestic shipping

Big Bro or Lil Bro shirts are $22 each or $40 for the set.

Shirt colors available are: White, Navy Blue or Grey.  Onesies are only in White.

Email me for custom fabrics.  I am currently working on an airplane theme for an old high school friend.  Will post it when it’s done.

Been Busy

Gosh, it’s been a long time since I have posted anything here!  I started back working again so I am juggling both now!  Some weeks are easy and others…well not so much!!

Here is what I have been up to!

Grab Bag of flowers with clips – ready to attach to headbands!  It’s a lot of 10 for $25.  It’s a grab bag so it won’t necessarily be the ones seen here.  Just 10 from my collection.

I got inspired at the craft store yesterday.  I wanted to dress up the girl’s onesies a bit more and I found some ruffles!  I love this look!  Again, the bow is removable (it has Velcro) so you can wash the onesie normally.  This can also come on a shirt.  I  made a Christmas one for a customer on Etsy and she loved it!  Totally wish I had a girl to put this on!!  This one is $18 plus shipping.

New bibs with ties and birthday ages!  Using a Damask print for the ties.  A nice way to dress it up a bit for your boy.

My newest item!  Initial shirts!  Just made this one for Jake…almost done with Jared’s (need to get him a bigger shirt!) and they will be matching.  LOVE the Sesame Street fabric.

Christmas Duds

I got my boys Christmas shirts done and couldn’t wait to put them on!  I dressed up little Jake this morning and bribed him with a bagel so he would pose for the camera.  I think he may have a future in this…especially if you hang food over him!
